Applications
Overview
A ring-shaped LED head surrounds the part with ultraviolet light, so cylindrical and round parts cure evenly from every side in a single exposure. There is no need to rotate the part under a spot head, and no shadowed side is left uncured.
The irradiation area ranges from Ø 25 to 50 mm, and the LEDs are available at 365, 385, 395 or 405 nm to suit a wide range of UV-curing adhesives and coatings. Water cooling keeps the head and the part cool, and the LEDs switch on and off instantly.
The controller is set up from its touch screen and connects to automated lines through 24 I/O ports, RS232 or RS485 communication and an MES function.
Typical applications
Ring lamps suit any process where an adhesive or coating must cure all the way round a cylindrical or round part, in a single station on a manual bench or an automated line.
