Applications

Overview

The M4200 is the intelligent edition of the online UV radiometers. A probe in the UV beam feeds a body with its own display, which shows current irradiance, dose and temperature. Set upper and lower irradiance limits on the body and it outputs an alarm signal as soon as a light source drifts out of its window.

Over RS485, a PLC or PC reads irradiance and body temperature in real time and sets the communication parameters. Unlike the M4100, the M4200 also measures traditional mercury lamps, and a high-temperature probe withstands 300 °C for 24 hours.

Typical applications

Continuous monitoring of UV LED and mercury lamp curing on automated production lines, with alarm outputs that stop or flag the line when irradiance leaves its limits.
